Overview
This is an introductory word processing class for computer keyboarding and document processing. The first part of the class covers the mastery of alphabetic, alphanumeric, and symbol keyboarding techniques. In the second part of the class, the students learn to use the features of Microsoft Word and to process documents while they are continuing to build their keyboarding capabilities. Students learn to prepare and process memos, announcements, lists, block-business letters, personal-business letters, unbound reports, and tables. Students will also be exposed to Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
